Mike has been a member of the CP Staff off and on since 1974. He has served in a variety of areas to include Aquatics, Assistant Cook, Shooting Sports Director, Business Manager, Program Director, Camp Physician and has been the ACD for 20 seasons and has worked for 5 Camp Directors. He has also served on the staff at Philmont. Beginning in Seattle as a Cub Scout he worked his way to become an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster, completed Woodbadge training, a Vigil member of the OA and a recipient of the Silver Beaver from the Chief Seattle Council. His ruminations shared here have been slowly developing into a book to encompass over 40 years of Scouting and Staffing on the Hood Canal. Ever the cynic, much of what you read is tongue-in-cheek. Mike has a strong love for the Scouting movement and the values it instills in young and old scouts.
T'was the night before Christmas and all through the camp not a creature was stirring....not even a scout. The stockings were hung in Dose with care in the hope that Ken would soon be there (I could go on....but why?)
